Master Bedroom

In my Home Fashion Design class we were assigned to create a master bedroom set.The dispersed square prints seen on the runways inspired me for this project. I wanted to design for a very modern atmosphere with simple details.

Senior Presentation

For my senior show I plan on creating a whole book of trends and prints that I have seen from the most recent runways. I will create 8 prints and an inspiration bar from the trends I see running though the middle of my creations. Here is a sneak peek at what I've been working on...

Future Ideas

I had to combine my knowledge of NedGraphics and Photoshop and Kaledo to create a collection of prints and wovens for a company 7 years from now. I have always been infatuated with what Free People creates so I chose this company to design my prints for. I wanted a soft, flowy, playing-in-the-woods theme. I pulled the dark browns from the trees and earth and the blues from the sky that peeks through the leaves.

Technologic

I was inspired for this project by abandoned Yugoslavian memorials from the 1970's that I found through research that looked like they could have been made in a different world. They were so futuristic and out of this world. I also pulled my color scheme from the movie Tron. I wanted to design for a high end brand, so I chose Bordelle, which uses leather and straps to create edgy, sexy lingerie. With the prints I used gradation to make it look like the beaming blue lights like in Tron with black accents.

Distressed

I created 4 woven plaids and 1 print for house wares focusing on the older artist for the target market. I wanted softer colors so that the customer felt comfortable when at home. I texture mapped my plaids into the bedroom on board two.
